What is YWAM?

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global, interdenominational movement of Christians. We are dedicated to training and mobilizing believers to present Jesus to this generation and spark revival among the nations. It started with Loren Cunningham’s vision in 1956. In the vision, He saw waves crashing over the shorelines of a world map, covering the continents. The waves then turned into young people fulfilling their part in the Great Commission, preaching Jesus in all the world. Today, 18,000+ YWAM staff in 180 nations live on mission to know God and make Him known.

YWAM Redding’s Story

Our story began in 2013 when God led Jachin and Sarah and their 6 children to pioneer a YWAM base focused on unreached people groups in the least reached areas of the world. As they prayed, God led them to establish the base in a city where revival is considered normal Christianity. This call came to them after five years of making disciples among the unreached.

Jachin & Sarah’s heart is to inspire radical faith in all believers to chase their dreams and complete the Great Commission.
