April 21, 2020

YWAM Redding friends and family,

No one could have predicted the current state of our nation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Our YWAM Redding Leadership Team is consistently working to create appropriate responses to US Government requests and guidelines. Throughout this pandemic, our priority is to ensure the safety and the health of our entire community. We are currently and will continue to follow the suggested CDC and WHO guidelines.

As of Monday, April 20th, our YWAM Redding Leadership Team made a formal decision to POSTPONE the Spring 2020 Discipleship Training School set to run May 4th (originally April 6th). This DTS will combine with the Summer 2020 school set to commence on June 29th. However, the School of Frontier Missions (SFM) will still be running as scheduled on May 4th. We are encouraging DTS students that were planning on joining the Spring 2020 DTS to still join us in June!

Our campus has canceled all scheduled community events until further notice. We have limited group gathering sizes to follow CDC and WHO safety guidelines and we are monitoring changes daily. We are taking all reasonable steps to protect our families, staff, and incoming SFM Students. While there are no reported COVID-19 cases among our staff, we have mandated strict “shelter in place” guidelines within our community as well as rigorous cleaning processes throughout our campus to continually promote safety and sanitation.

Please join us in prayer over our nation, our leaders, the essential workers, healing for the sick, and peace for the quarantined. Now is such a powerful time to be praying for the nations! Pray that the perfect love of Jesus Christ would be shown to cast out all fear throughout this time of need. Continually check back with us, as we will be posting updates frequently.

Thank you,

The YWAM Redding Leadership Team

Our YWAM Redding Leadership Team is working consistently to stay informed of and respond appropriately to the changing events of this global issue. Our first priority is to ensure the safety of all community members. We are currently and will continue to follow the suggested CDC and WHO guidelines.

In order to ensure the safety of our staff and members of the community, we have decided to close worship and prayer events to the public at this time. We will continue to have staff worship, prayer, and meetings as we operate from our base housing and uphold social distancing regulations. We will be sure to post on this page once we decide to open these events to the public again.

As of March 17th, we decided to suspend all outreaches planned for the Winter Discipleship Training School. These outreaches will still continue off of the Summer 2020 Discipleship Training School.

The Spring 2020 Discipleship Training School set to run May 4th (originally April 6th) is POSTPONED. This DTS will combine with the Summer 2020 school set to commence on June 29th. We are encouraging DTS students that were planning on joining the Spring 2020 DTS to still join us in June! The School of Frontier Missions (SFM) will still be running as scheduled on May 4th.

Our staff is currently quarantined within their respective homes and are not moving within the other campus housing. Our current staff and volunteers are continuing their base roles from home. We have limited group gathering sizes as well as continuing to follow CDC and WHO safety guidelines. Currently, the recommendation coming from the CDC is maximum groups of 10 or less people. Most of our staff are gathering online.

We are unable to host overnight guests or have guests join us for on-site worship and intercession at this time.

We will be posting updates on this page as need be.

Join us for our Encounter Hope Seminar. Our goal with this seminar is for the Lord to refresh you in intimacy, worship, prayer, and evangelism. With COVID-19 happening, we are all being forced to slow normal life down, so why not use that time to refocus and recenter on Christ?
